Champions Simba back on top
Champions Simba Sports Club maintained their impressive start to the new season, as they got back to the top of the league standings after a 2-1 victory over Ruvu shooting at the National Stadium last weekend.
Zambian International Striker Felix Sunzu replaced suspended Ugandan Cranes Striker Emmanuel Okwi and he netted Simba's opener in the 30th minute, after a superb strike taking the scores 1-0 in favor of at half-time.
Ruvu equalized the scores in the 75th minute thanks to Seif Rashid's goal following Simba's defensive slip.
With ten minutes to go, Simba's youngster Christopher Edwards came off the bench to score the winning goal for the Msimbazi boys to make it three wins in three games for Milovan Cirkovic's side.
Elsewhere, Kagera Sugar got their first league victory of the season after a 1-0 victory over Mgambo JKT while African Lyon grabbed a 2-0 win over Tanzania Prisons.
